Lukas Flueckiger Finishes 13th in Tough XC World Cup Round 3

Again the cold weather returned to the Mountain Bike World Cup yesterday in Nove Mesto Na Morave (CZE) despite summer like conditions during the week leading up to the race. Riders were met with 7 degrees and a chilly wind as they took to the start line for their 6 lap race. More than 180 starters lined up for the race including Luk and Math Flueckiger who both started on the 2nd row.

Trek World Racing Takes 2 Podium Spots In Port Angeles

At the opening round of the US National series for gravity racing, Trek World Racing’s 3 Downhill riders took on some of the fastest men in the world, including current World Cup series leader Greg Minnaar and eventual race winner Steve Smith, on the famous Pacific North West track in Port Angeles, in Washington State. Aaron Gwin finished 2nd and Neko Mulally joined him on the podium for 5th.

Top 10 For All Trek World Racing Downhillers At Sea Otter

Lukas Flueckiger Ranked 9th After World Cup Round 2

In bitterly cold conditions here in the Belgian Ardennes, at the classic World Cup venue of Houffalize, Trek World Racing’s Flueckiger brothers took to the start of the 6 lap second round of the UCI Men’s XC World Cup. Luk was on the front row and elected to start on the far left, while Math was 2 rows back in position 18.

Neko Takes Silver at Pan-American Championships

Representing the USA, Trek World Racing’s Neko Mulally raced the Pan-American Downhill Championships in Puebla, Mexico at the weekend, taking a win in qualifying, but having to settle for second in the final behind Colombia’s World Cup rider Marcelo Guttierez.

Willow Rockwell Retires From Mountain Bike Racing

Trek World Racing’s Willow Rockwell (USA) has announced that despite her best efforts to return to the sport of mountain biking after taking time out to have her daughter, the reality of the situation is nothing like she had imagined. In this past week Willow has decided definitively that it’s time to stop racing for good and focus on her new family.

Neko Mulally Wins The Gouveia International DH

Trek World Racing’s youngest downhill rider took a convincing win today on the slopes of the Portuguese town of Gouveia, a town which hosted Trek World Racing’s first ever team camp back in 2009. Neko finished 2nd in the race here last year, but moved up one step in conquering the newly laid out track.

Aaron Gwin Takes 2nd at World Cup 1, as Teammates finish Top 20.

In a thrilling finish that had the thousands of fans here in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, on the edge of their seats until the very last second, Aaron Gwin was narrowly defeated by local hero Greg Minnaar after setting a blistering time. Trek World Racing’s youngest downhill rider Neko Mulally scored a career best 14th, while Justin Leov finished a solid 17th. All 3 riders are now top 20 ‘protected’ heading into Round 2.

Anton Cooper Wins World Cup Season Opener by More Than 4 Minutes

In a world class performance today Anton Cooper won his first World Cup race of the year in stunning fashion, putting four and half minutes into the reigning Junior World Champion, and taking the first World Cup XC victory for his new team. The young rider from Christchurch, New Zealand, attacked decisively on the 2nd climb of the 1st lap, putting 15 seconds into Frenchman Victor Koretzky and continued to stretch his lead over the 4 lap race.

Lukas Flueckiger Finishes 6th in World Cup Season Opener

In what most pundits acknowledged was a difficult race to predict due it being the opening round of the World Cup season, and one month earlier than usual, Trek World Racing’s Luk Flueckiger kept his Superfly in the top 10 of the race from start to finish here in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. On his last lap he closed down more than 20 seconds on reigning World Champion Jaroslav Kulhavy, only to lose out in the final straight.

Aaron Gwin Wins Pietermaritzburg National, Neko 3rd, Justin 5th

Aaron Gwin lead the way today for all three Trek World Racing riders who ended up on the podium at the South African national race held on the improved Pietermaritzburg course that will host next week’s World Cup opener. With a scorching time of 4m 14secs, Aaron was 3 seconds ahead of last year’s fastest World Cup qualifier Mick Hannah (AUS).

Flueckiger Brothers Finish Top 10, Anton Wins Juniors

Today all 4 Trek World Racing XC athletes competed in dry, yet very humid, conditions in the South African National XC races, which many teams used as a test event for next weekend’s World Cup on the same course here in Pietermaritzburg. Willow Rockwell made her return to racing just 10 weeks after having her first child, a major feat in itself, while Anton Cooper raced his first international event for his new team, and the Flueckiger brothers showed they have race speed at the start of the season.

Aaron Gwin and Neko Mulally Make It One-Two in Fontana

The early season racing has really kicked off in California and Neko Mulally, who left the frigid temperatures of his hometown Reading, PA, joined his champion team mate in the sunnier climes of California. This past weekend saw Round 4 of the Southridge winter series held on the Fontana track, a dusty, pedally truck lovingly referred to as 'Fontucky'.

Justin Leov is the 2012 National Downhill Champion

Fresh off winning the Super D National Title on Friday, Trek World Racing’s Justin Leov backed it up by taking the win in the downhill on Sunday. This is the second time that Justin has won the National Title on this team, and the 3rd time in his career. Justin was onboard his Session 9.9 with Bontrager G4 rubber.

Anton Cooper Defends National Junior XC Title
