Neko Mulally Takes Top 10 At Sea Otter

With nearly all of the top 10 riders in the Sea Otter Downhill riding anything but a standard 26 inch wheel downhill rig on the notoriously short and flat course, Neko and his team-mates all ran their 26 inch Trek Session 9.9 Downhill bikes and had excellent runs despite some setbacks for Brook and Greg

The Sea Otter Classic is always an event worthy of an asterix when reviewing Downhill race results for the season. The course is never going to be world class, but the promotional value of being in the paddock and meeting the media and sponsors at the start of the year is what brings the team back each year. Brook MacDonald was looking set for a great time in a closely fought event, when a small error had him crashing on the last corner in sight of the finish line, losing approximately 10 seconds, which included trying to get back up to speed on the flat finish straight.

Greg Williamson who is battling a virus and found himself feeling pretty weak in his race run, was happy with his 20th place. Meanwhile, team 'veteran' Neko Mulally finished just 1.8secs behind the race winner on the two minute track, in 10th place, feeling very happy about his form leading into next week's first real Downhill race for the team, in Port Angeles, Washington State.

Neko said, "Good weekend at Sea Otter. I felt strong here this weekend and was really happy with my time. Everyone was so close and I was stoked to be in the mix on my Session."

All three riders are heading to Port Angeles today for the Underworld Cup and some quality racing, where the promoter takes great care of the Pro Athletes and puts on an awesome event with great spectators attendance.
