Trek World Racing - Team Concept

Trek World Racing is a dual discipline World Cup racing team. Combining both the Olympic discipline of Cross Country and the gravity fed discipline of Downhill, Trek World Racing is the only team on the World Cup circuit that has been awarded the prestigious 'Elite Team' status by the world governing body, the UCI, in both disciplines.

The team was created in the latter part of 2008, and started racing in March 2009. Since then the team has won 2 World Titles, 2 World Championship Silver Medals, 1 World Cup Overall Title, 2 World Cup Races, and had more than 20 World Cup podiums, plus many other race wins. Trek World Racing has two professional race rigs, one based in Europe, and the other in the USA, and this gives the team a professional base from which to race in nearly all events the team attends.

The team is owned and operated by 23 Degrees Sports Management, based in southern Spain, and has as title sponsor, Trek Bicycle. With 7 athletes in 2011, and 8 staff, it is one of the largest on the pro circuit.
